I’m hearing from mom friends that they know of girls who are already hitting puberty in fourth grade. Those girls are nine and 10 years old. Even though I have a kindergartener, I realize that I better start talking about bras, pimples, periods, and body odor with her soon.
After all, it’s never to early to talk to your daughter about bodily changes so you two can start an open, honest discussion about sex later on. Still, it’s a little scary so a product like Changes can help.
Changes was conceived by two RNs who weren't happy with the products in the marketplace for their tween daughters to learn about their changing bodies. The Changes kit is very positive, without being too “girly-girl” or sappy. Instead, it’s about taking the mystery out of puberty in an easy-to-understand way. Once girls know the facts, the kit helps them discuss it with their parents. Love that!
Changes has enough information to educate your tween girl without being too much. It’s perfect for tween girls who want to know what's going on with their changing bodies but don't want to have a whole science class type of explanation that goes into sex and babies. (That’s for later…)
The kit includes:
- A short book
- A calendar
- A journal
- A fun pen
- Sample fragrances
What I really loved about Changes it that there are two kits offered, the Young Miss Changes Kit and the Tomboy Kit. Even though my daughter loves girly things and pink, not all girls do. Still, all young women want to know what’s going on and want to look, smell and feel their best. A product like Changes can help.
