As a writer I'm obsessed with finding the right notebook. It can't be too big or I can't carry it around in my bag. And it can't be too small, because you can't write in such a notebook. Instead, you can only take notes, which is why I have a sparkly pink mini notebook perfect for fitting in the smallest of purses when I go out to parties or events.
I’ve even posted about creating the perfect notebook - twice. First, there was Journal Ideas from Lessons from the Scrapbook Page about Tasra Dawson's scrapbooking blog had terrific idea for dressing up a plain notebook into a fabulous journal.
Then at Writing the Summer Away with My Readable Feast, I wrote about finding the perfect notebooks at Office Depot. Ironically, the women in my writer's group also love these notebooks, and each own several sizes and colors. And the last time I saw them at Sears, I bought all the pink and green ones I could find.
So when I had the chance to review these notebooks for Mom Central I jumped at the chance. (Mom Central CEO Stacy DeBroff is also a big fan of these notebooks. Great minds think alike, I guess.
With all the back to school sales, I'm lusting after office supplies, especially notebooks. Not that I need any more notebooks since I have so many. When I find my favorite notebooks that I've been using since May 2007, I buy more.
So when I got the call from Mom Central to review Carolina Pad and Paper's newest collections designed by Jackie McFee - Simply Chic and Eye Candy - I flipped out. Of course! I love these notebooks!
Well, Carolina Pad doesn't only have notebooks, they have journals, magnets, stick-on notes and flags, mouse pads, folders, pens, and more.
Here are highlights of some of the goodies I received from Carolina Pad. These are going to make working and my desk so much more organized!
- Simply Chic Organizational Folder - Not only is it stylish and so much nicer than manilla folders, it's a great way to organize all the things I tear out of magazine and hope to blog about. It has eight pockets to store clippings, brochures, and articles.
- Eye Candy Mouse Pad - This is replacing the one I had that was stained and grimy. Not only is it colorful, it's stain and water resistant. So when I'm not using it as a mouse pad, I can use it as a drink coaster. (I'm not joking. I drink a lot of Diet Coke when I work.)
- Simply Chic Portable Hanging File - Not only is it cool looking and made out of durable plastic with seven pockets, but it has retractable hanging tabs built in so you can hang the folder in a file cabinet. Talk about taking your office with you! I like taking folders like this on trips. You have room for maps, itineraries, coupons, and a place to put all the business cards and brochures you collect on your journey.
- Simply Chic Ballpoint Pens - I was surprised how well these felt in my hand as I wrote. Did I mention that I'm always on the search for the perfect pen, too? These will look nice when I go to client meetings and much more impressive than pulling out a pen from the local oil change place.
Best of all, Carolina Pad is now available at Wal-Mart. You've probably seen their Hot Chocolate collection there. So when you're picking up school supplies for the kids this month, why not get yourself organized and beautify your office with Caroline Pad, too?
