Dear reader, in 30 minutes I'm off to join my colleagues on the board of directors at My Charter School, our principal, and the school secretary to a local B&B for a long weekend of school related work.
I'll be gone Friday and Saturday night, and Big Bad Dad will be watching the kiddos.
It'll be a long weekend of reading all our important documents (contracts, charter application, lease, etc.), preparing a SWOT analysis (strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats) and working out a strategic plan with goals and objectives for the next several years for our school.
The best part? A bed to myself and uninterrupted sleep for TWO WHOLE NIGHTS. Well, that and a lovely selection of wines brought by our VP who's wife works at an upscale liquor store, and ADULT CONVERSATION for two days straight.
No kid fights. No dirty diapers. No cleaning up messes. No making beds. No fart games.
Heaven.
