Where was
The Momstown Guide to Getting it All : A Life Makeover for Stay-at-Home Moms when I needed it five years ago?
Mary Goulet and Heather Reider, the hosts of the internet radio show MomsTown offer insights, resources, and motivation to help stay-at-home moms set and achieve their personal goals for a more satisfying life in just ten weeks.
There's lots of great advice in the book, from tips to de-cluttering your home and getting organized, to rediscovering your spirituality and dreams. My one big criticism of the The Momstown Guide to Getting It All is that there's an overload of information and activities that may scare some moms off. It may be best to read the whole book first, then take on a chapter or two's practices for a few months until you feel up to the challenge of taking on more. Whether you take it in one big chuck or in small pieces, you'll find the book a great advice guide for as long as you're a SAHM.
Also, I'd like to see a supplemental page or two written - possibly on their website - on how to get back on the plan when you get sidetracked due to the chaos in most mom's daily lives (a sick child, a husband's changed work schedule, discipline issues at school, etc.)
All in all, pick up The Momstown Guide to Getting it All : A Life Makeover for Stay-at-Home Moms and give yourself that overdue and well deserved makeover today.
